How fluorescent light bulbs save money

In my experience, these bulbs last only a few weeks (no wonder they resemble question marks). A procrastinator will perforce spend a prodigious amount of time in darkness or dim lighting. Now, I did poorly in high school physics, but I think I can recall that where there is no light (or heat), there generally can’t be much in the way of energy consumption. Ingenious! or, maybe I mean “Inconceivable!”

Manufacturers, you can suck my dead, expensive light bulbs. How long should you pucker? Add up the years of usage I didn’t get out of your products!
